The Neighbourhood Watch in Spain is delighted to announce a new partnership with international currency specialist, Moneycorp. Over the next year, their financial support will help us to continue the fight against crime here in Spain. The partnership also means we can help you make the most of your money.

Many British expats living in Spain have recently been affected by the weak British pound; we have all seen income from the UK resulting in fewer and fewer euros. Those with Spanish mortgages have also suffered from steadily rising costs.

Moneycorp currency exchange services are designed to help us get more euros for our pounds and to avoid excessive UK bank charges – which can add up to hundreds of pounds per year. Moneycorp can help you with any ad-hoc international transfers that you may have to make, as well as those regular transfers, should you need to transfer your pension to Spain, fund a Spanish mortgage or pay household bills.

Our partnership means that, as you can now efficiently and cost-effectively transfer money to your Spanish bank account whenever you may need to.

Moneycorp’s Regular Payment Plan (RPP) is specifically tailored for regular international payments. With the RPP you won’t have to worry about arranging individual transfers through your bank and Moneycorp will help you make the most of your funds. It’s simple to set up and Moneycorp guarantees you will pay no commission or receiving bank charges.

For those of you who may be looking to sell your property here in Spain and move away, Moneycorp can help ensure that you get as much foreign currency for your Euros as possible. Speak to them directly to find out how to save hundreds of Euros on Spanish bank fees.

Welcome to our new blog

  • Jan 30, 2009

For those of you that don't quite know what a "blog" is - it's a contraction of WeB LOG - a sort of on-line diary.

We shall be using it to keep you in touch with news and happenings at a national and regional level. It'll be in addition to the more static information on the website, and the information mainly about crime matters on the bulletin board. You'll be able to get here directly with the address given on the website, or via the link also on the website.

The National NHW committee will be the main posters to the blog, and all press releases will of course be posted here too. The blog will naturally improve with time as we all get used to using it as an extra way of keeping you informed.

At some stage we may activate the comments facility, but naturally comments will be moderated (ie vetted!).

Please keep coming back to view the blog as it gets going. It's going to be an important new way to improve our communications to you all.
